Welcome to the Cleveland Street Theatre
The Theatre Complex
Cleveland St Theatre comprises a studio and office building as well as the Theatre. The theatre showcases the work of a range of the finest emerging artists in Sydney with regular productions. ACTT’s Graduating actors final year productions are mounted at the theatre as well as productions by leading and innovative theatre, dance, physical theatre, music and performance groups. The programming always provides the opportunity for the audience to engage with some of the most interesting and powerful performances and projects on show anywhere.
Rehearsal spaces are available for hire and slots in the theatre are also opened up to outside companies regularly.
With Cleveland Street Theatre complex’s amazing versatile Theatre (ranges from 100–145 seats in several formations and includes great floorspace and aerial rigging) and a huge range of 9 studios (from the Pitt St campus to Cleveland, including an edit suite, and mirrors and pianos in some rooms) this is a great, central space for new, emerging and established artists in dance, performance art, theatre, music, film, visual arts and photography.
ACTT boasts a professional theatre space, the Cleveland Street Theatre, along with the associated studio spaces, it is available for hire and its versatility makes it a unique location to use for rehearsals of new productions or putting on your own show as well as corporate events, launches, training and workshops.
The venue provides the opportunity for small conferences to meet and also to break out into groups. The central courtyard is an inviting area for light refreshments and a licensed bar is also available for entertainment events.
