ACTT’s Professional Actor Program is a unique three year vocational Advanced Diploma of Arts in Stage and Screen Acting, incorporating Australia’s most advanced studio-based Acting Training System designed to hone the skills of talented students who wish to pursue a career as professional actors in film, television and theatre. The ACTT approach to actor training is uniquely adaptable to the individual actor’s needs and performance circumstances. ACTT’s Certificate IV in Music Theatre is for talented singers and dancers who wish to pursue their craft and develop a strong acting technique that prepares them to compete for and be successful when auditioning for roles in a range of music theatre productions and for further training. ACTT has an exceptional reputation for producing versatile and dedicated performers. The nurturing, challenging and supportive environment at ACTT develops graduates who benefit from being taught by some of Australia’s leading industry practitioners. The CORE (Certificate III in Theatre and Screen Performance) is an all-round acting arts course that draws upon different performing arts elements to fast-track students wanting to start their career or be ready to audition for advanced acting courses. The students will develop techniques and personal confidence that enable them to reach a connected ‘being state’, which is essential for the delivery of honest and moving performances on stage and screen. ACTT offers 3 full-time Backstage Courses: Certificate III and IV in Live Production, Theatre & Events and the Advanced Diploma of Stage Management. These courses are run in association with the college’s extensive theatre production schedule and provide opportunities to work with a number of professional practitioners and visiting industry directors in a professional environment.
