BACHELOR OF ARTS IN STAGE AND SCREEN ACTING (UNE)
Graduates of the ACTT Advanced Diploma of Arts in Stage and Screen Acting have a guaranteed articulation into a one year BA (Stage and Screen Acting) degree at the University of New England. ACTT is the only independent performing arts college to have a formal articulation agreement from a vocational acting course to degree. This is a new degree developed by UNE in consultation with ACTT and entry is only open to ACTT graduates. It is a fast track to even greater career options, such as acting, education, writing, performing, directing or production.
Theatre Studies at UNE has a long tradition of combining the theoretical and practical aspects of theatre. All postgraduate work is expected to integrate a practical understanding with an awareness of theoretical concerns, and suitable facilities for performance work are made available. Theatre staff have had extensive experience in vocational drama schools or the professional theatre. ACTT graduates have the opportunity to specialise in a wide range of different areas including journalism, arts criticism, communications, scriptwriting, and directing from the nineteen different units that are available. Graduates with the ACTT Advanced Diploma of Arts in Stage and Screen Acting recieve the highest possible 96 credit points towards the bachelor degree leaving only 48 credit points to be undertaken at UNE.
