Explore the world of screen further with the second level of Screen Acting at ACTT.
During this 8-week course you will use a range of scripts to provide experience in scenes and camera set-ups. Develop skills in some of the more technical aspects of shooting a scene, whilst still maintaining a focus on acting.

ACTT’s Screen Acting stream has three levels. Level Two follows on and is also a good starting point for anyone who has had some on-camera experience and is comfortable with the camera. Most paid acting work is for camera: television, film, training videos and this Screen Acting course provides an excellent way to become familiar with the medium.

This unique course has been redesigned and developed to appeal to people with a range of experience (see below). The course provides essential techniques for on-camera performance. Students build their skills in how to maintain ease, energy, focus and develop a truthful emotional connection that can be captured through the camera lens. Building on this, students will prepare and perform a short, simple scene, monologue and reaction shot for camera. The student will also understand camera styles and techniques as well as the demands of acting required for different genres.

This course is designed for anyone looking for more exposure in front of the camera to build on skills they have already developed in beginners screen classes and other acting or performing arts courses who want to develop better on-screen practices.
