Jill Russ: Professional Actor Graduate 2007

07_3_Roberto Zucco_DavernBaker ACTT is housed in two of central Sydney’s most exciting and artistic buildings, the St Laurence Arts Centre and Cleveland St Theatre. They provide you with the creative environment to flourish. In 2007 ACTT commenced running the Cleveland St Theatre (formerly the Performance Space) ten minutes walk away from the main Pitt St campus and it is proving to be an excellent addition to ACTT, giving actors the opportunity to showcase their work in a professional acting space and to work alongside professional companies.

Technical Production students also work on these productions as well as others held in the space. Since 1982 The Old ‘Railway Union Hall’ at 199 Cleveland Street has seen the development of some cutting edge artistic endeavors under the auspices of The Performance Space. Now this magnificent theatre has a new vision for the future development of fringe theatre, in the expert hands of ACTT’s artistic team. With its ideal location, leafy courtyard & bar, this venue accommodates functions of all kinds for ACTT and other groups.
